Actually, Aam Aadmi Party has not yet taken any final decision on whether Arvind Kejriwal will resign from his post, or his wife Sunita Kejriwal or any other leader will become the Chief Minister in his place. Aam Aadmi Party leaders Saurabh Bhardwaj and Sandeep Pathak have made it clear that Arvind Kejriwal will not resign from his post. They will run the government from jail itself.
But constitutional experts say that this may give the Lieutenant Governor an opportunity to impose President’s rule by declaring a constitutional crisis in Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party leaders would not want to give this opportunity to the Central Government. This is why it is believed that if Arvind Kejriwal does not get bail soon, and he also has to stay in jail for a long time like Manish Sisodia, then he will help his wife Sunita Kejriwal or any other member of the Aam Aadmi Party. The leader can be made the Chief Minister.
